Random shots in an amazing light

I took some photograph this evening. I looked out of the window, and the fog was just lingering on the fjord. I grabbed my camera and ran out. I must have photographed this view a thousand times, but I still like it. I also like the colors in green and grey, when you look at the fjord from the hotel. I then took the car and photographed the bales, which these days are organized to form one long piece of Land Art through the whole village because of the bale festival. I'll be working in the hotel, and hopefully go to another art show opening with Aase Kvikne Bjordal, a very competent artist, who's now 85 and whos work from the 60's and 70's will be on display at Eikaasgalleriet

Land Art project in Fjærland

In a weeks time there will be the opening of a Land Art project in Fjærland, called the Rundballe festival. Rundballe is the big white "eggs" that are lying around on farmed land, and substitutes the process that the silo used to do to the grass. Artist Magne Vangsnes is these days placing them around in the fields to make differendt formations, see Rundballeblog for more pictures. This is a neat and rather interesting way of seeing literally "down to earth" objects suddenly take ona new form. I get many thoughts about landscape, form and and our influence on and perception of these concepts. (ugly vs. beatuiful, artificial vs. natural etc.) Hope you enjoy the pictures, which I did last Wednesday.
